  3. This CD contains three separate CD titles. If you have
  4.      Island Girls 3CD   the CD titles included are:

  6.      Island Bikini Beach
  7.      Island Photo Studio
  8.      Island Art Gallery

  10. If you have Local Girls 3CD the titles included are:

  28. Operating Requirements-
  29.  
  30. To run the multimedia portions of this CD you need:
  31.  
  32. 1. A color monitor that displays 640 x 480 in 8-bit
  33.     (256 colors).
  34.  
  35. 2. A sound board or sound chip inside your computer
  36.     that can play at least11K Mono sound/music.
  37.  
  38. For Macintosh Users:
  39.  
  40. For best results playing the shows under System 7 we
  41.      recommend having your virtual memory set to OFF and your
  42.      32 Bit addressing set to ON. (But consult your manual for the
  43.      best recommendations for your particular model and operating system.)
  44.      The cache doesn't seem to affect them assuming normal caching 
  45.      conditions. Virtual memory set to ON causes the sound to break up.
  46.  
  47. The multimedia shows were produced and tested on
  48.     standard Mac II level machines and should work
  49.     nicely. They may work fine on other Mac platforms
  50.     such as the Classic or the Powerbooks, but we haven't
  51.     tried it ourselves at this point in time. 24-bit displays
  52.     may require setting to 8-bit mode. Our shows were
  53.     designed with 8-bit PICT files using system palettes.
  54.     These shows are also able to play on gray-scale displays.

  56. For MS-DOS and MS-Windows Users:
  57.  
  58. The multimedia shows were produced and tested on
  59.     standard 386-25 PC's using 16-bit Hi-Color cards
  60.     and Sound Blaster compatible sound cards. The DOS
  61.     shows were made with 8-bit PCX files and11K and 22K mono
  62.     VOC sound files. The Windows shows were made with
  63.     8-bit TIF 5.0 files and 11K and 22K mono WAV files. We didn't
  64.     have to re-set the DOS or Windows display modes even
  65.     in our usual 800x600 16-bit Hi-Color display modes
  66.     so it should not present a problem.

  75. For SUN SPARC and Silicon Graphics IRIS users:

  77. The multimedia shows will run on these UNIX flavors
  78.     providing you obtain a software driver from COSA,
  79.     The Company of Science & Art at 401-831-2672. These
  80.     are the same show files found in the Macintosh section
  81.     of this CD.

  83. About the Photoimage files-
  84.  
  85. The photoimage files have been saved in 8-bit PICT and 8-bit
  86.     PCX format which works in nearly all Macintosh, MS-DOS, MS-Windows
  87.     and UNIX software platforms we know of.
  88.  
  89. Software included on this CD-
  90.  
  91. For Macintosh folks we have Adobe Photoshop 2.0.1 Try-Out.
  92.     This is a fully operational program but the print and save
  93.     functions have been disabled by Adobe. We would like you to
  94.     know that Adobe Photoshop Try-Out is the property of Adobe
  95.     Systems, Inc. and cannot be sold or modified in any way. We
  96.     have their permission to let you "try it out". To contact them

  99. For DOS folks we have included NeoPaint from OSCS Software
  100.     Development which is a fully functional DOS imaging program
  101.     provided under the shareware system. If you like it and use it,
  102.     please contact OSCS Software which owns full rights to the

  104.     readme.txt information with the software and you can reach

  108. For Windows folks we have included Paint Shop Pro. This is a
  109.     fully functional Windows imaging program provided under the
  110.     shareware system. If you like it and use it, please contact
  111.     JASC, Inc. which owns the full rights to the software for

  113.     also a "Readme2.txt" file with the software we have included
  114.     on this CD which tells you all about what you need to know.
